Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI), or thermography, uses an infrared camera to capture heat patterns on the skin and turn them into a color image called a thermogram. These images can highlight temperature changes that may indicate circulation or inflammation differences, giving insight into how your body is functioning. Thermography is a supportive tool for understanding surface-level body patterns and complements other medical evaluations—it does not diagnose disease or look beneath the skin.
Yes, thermography is completely safe. It uses no radiation or physical contact, making it suitable for all ages and health conditions. The procedure is painless and gentle, with no exposure to harmful effects.
For the most accurate results, avoid lotions, creams, and deodorants on the day of your scan. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and skip heavy exercise, hot showers, or extreme temperatures—even in your car—before your appointment.
You’ll spend a few minutes in a temperature-controlled room to get ready. The technician will guide you on positioning for each image while capturing thermal images of the targeted areas. The process is quick, touch-free, and usually takes 20–30 minutes, depending on the type of scan.
Thermography provides valuable visual data but is best used alongside other diagnostic methods for a comprehensive health assessment. Our scans are medically interpreted to ensure reliable insights and support wellness decisions.
Thermal imaging can reveal unusual heat patterns, often before symptoms appear, but it does not diagnose specific conditions. It’s a screening tool to identify areas that may need further evaluation. Always consult your healthcare provider for a full diagnosis and treatment plan.
Anyone interested in a gentle, non-invasive scan can benefit from thermal imaging. It can reveal areas of inflammation, circulation changes, or other concerns—and is a great choice for women with dense breasts.
