How accurate are thermography results?

Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI), or thermography, uses an infrared camera to capture heat patterns on the skin and turn them into a color image called a thermogram. These images can highlight temperature changes that may indicate circulation or inflammation differences, giving insight into how your body is functioning. Thermography is a supportive tool for understanding surface-level body patterns and complements other medical evaluations—it does not diagnose disease or look beneath the skin.

You’ll spend a few minutes in a temperature-controlled room to get ready. The technician will guide you on positioning for each image while capturing thermal images of the targeted areas. The process is quick, touch-free, and usually takes 20–30 minutes, depending on the type of scan.

Thermal imaging can reveal unusual heat patterns, often before symptoms appear, but it does not diagnose specific conditions.  It’s a screening tool to identify areas that may need further evaluation. Always consult your healthcare provider for a full diagnosis and treatment plan.

Appointment & Cancellation Policy
Updated February 18, 2026
At New Day Thermography, we travel to bring your scan directly to you, reserving each appointment just for you. To keep everything running smoothly, here’s what to know:
Deposit: A $100 deposit secures your appointment and applies to your service fee.
Cancellations: Please give at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations more than 48 hours ahead are refundable (minus a $10 transaction fee if not rebooked). Less than 48 hours may result in losing your deposit.
Rescheduling: Need a different date, time, or location? Your deposit can transfer—call 925‑290‑7663. After three transfers, the deposit will be forfeited. Late Arrivals: Please arrive on time—being more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling. No-Shows: Missing your appointment without notice will result in forfeiting the deposit; a new deposit is required for future bookings. We understand life happens and will do our best to accommodate. We trust you’ll work with us to keep the schedule flowing, and we pray every appointment brings peace of mind while supporting your health journey.

At this time, we are unable to process payments through insurance or bill insurance companies directly. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to see if they might cover your scan. If coverage is available, call the location where your scan will take place (since we are a mobile service) to confirm whether they can work with your insurance.
